Financial Reads
With nearly 75% of Brits living month-to-month and virtually no credible training programs available for young people, we decided to team up with other professional speakers from across the country and offer interactive learning experiences geared toward building a solid foundation for financial security.
Financial Reads curriculum focuses not only on the basic principles of money, money flow, financial vocabulary, financial statements and basic investing but also on the important concept that the beliefs and attitudes we develop early on in life about money have a powerful effect on our financial future. We also stress the idea that money doesn't buy happiness it is just a tool to use to become financially independent.
Our Financial Reads modules made up of the following ten categories:
1. Financial Literacy: Do you think you could ever succeed in China without knowing Cantonese. In this module you will learn the basic language of money!
2. Making Money: Learn about financial four square and how working can work with you or against you. The bottom line is you will learn how to make money.
3. Managing Money: Learn what to do without once you have and understand that a penny saved is not always a penny earned.
4. Being A Wise Consumer: Learn why credit cards, interest, and loans are bad and how to make them your new best friend.
5. Saving and Investing: Learn how to dam the river and build a store of resources.
6. Investing: This module is an in depth learning session investments ranging from bonds, CD’s, stocks.
7. Managing and Minimizing Risk: How much better would your decision making be if you understood why you were doing what you were doing. Learn how to manage and minimize your risk by not putting all your financial eggs in one basket.
